The Webrecorder project specializes in creating tools for a user-driven approach to web archiving. This means that users have the ability to directly control the archiving process through their web browser. Since its inception, the primary objective of Webrecorder has been to develop high-quality open-source tools that make 'web archiving for all' a reality. These tools empower anyone with a web browser to easily generate their own web archives and accurately replay them at a later time.
The goal of Webrecorder tools is to provide highly accurate capture and replay of websites, working with a variety of existing storage options and services. The Tools page provides more information on all tools developed as part of Webrecorder.
Webrecoder needed help on improving their website, over the years it had grown beyond the original from and with a new project and use cases, it needed a cleanup and reorganization. I joined the project as the UX designer to help improve the usability of the Webrecorder website.
The main task was to improve the navigation of the page, highlight all of their four main tools ReplayWeb.page, ArchiveWeb.page, Browsertrix Crawler and pyweb in a better way and make the page ready for future exspation.
